Jim Parsons is best known for his role as "Sheldon Cooper" in the Sitcom "The big bang theory".

Sheldon is quite an eccentric character, who makes an impression in the character in the show and views alike.

Parsons does share many similarities with his character in the show the big bang theory.

His speech pattern and gestures are shockingly similar, and when he appears on talk shows, it almost seems like "Sheldon Cooper" is being interviewed (in a less arrogant way).

Parsons' full name is "James Joseph Parsons". Similar to Sheldon, parsons was bought up in Houston, Texas.  

Parsons first acting role as a child was playing a bird in an elementary school play.

Jim Parsons quietly comes Out!

Jim Parsons has quietly come out of the closet.
In a profile in the New York Times, The big bang star is matter-of-factly described "gay and in a 10-year relationship".
Parsons never directly addresses his sexuality or elaborates on the remark in the profile, and his rep had no additional comment when reached.

"According to the profile, "The Normal Heartresonated with him on a few levels: Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said." 

Parsons, 39, has won two Emmys and a Golden Globe Award for his role as Sheldon Cooper on the hit CBS comedy.

Last night's episode from the show the big bang theory was simply amazing and no wonder its rating were as high as any other episode that has been aired on television.

From TV guide magazine: No bazinga about it: The Big Bang Theory dominated TV Guide Magazine's Fan Favorites Awards with wins for Favorite Comedy, Ensemble and Actor (Jim Parsons). "Well, hot damn!" says Parsons, who has spent the past six seasons as theoretical physicist Sheldon Cooper on the smash CBS comedy. "I'm really touched, and I'm just so happy people like watching it. One of the fun things about playing him is, he makes a lot of mistakes and says a lot of inappropriate things, but he is able to get away with it ­because he's ­coming from such an honest place."

Spoilers out for the last episode

Spoiler are out on the season finale of "The big bang theory". In an article posted on 23rd april, 2013, executive producer Steve Molaro shares some info that may make the fans a bit apprehensive.

Word on the street is Leonard will be torn between his current circumstances and a possible job offer overseas. Although he and Penny are going strong and their relationship has never been healthier, the job offer would be a huge step for him.

Viewers expect Penny would be upset to hear the news, but someone else may possibly be more affected by the announcement. Sheldon, it seems, is the one who takes it the hardest. He's both frightened at the prospect of losing Leonard as a roommate and jealous that Leonard received the opportunity at the same time.

As for the news about another major breakthrough - no names were given with that tidbit of information. There are several popular theories, though. One theory is that the major breakthrough will involve Howard and Bernadette who are considering an addition to the family.

The big bang theory star Jim parsons famous catchphrase has inspired biologist to rename a new bee species .

Researchers have used TV physicist Dr. Sheldon Cooper's 'Bazinga!' as the premise for their latest discovery.
The Euglossa bazinga bee is closely related to the West Brazilian orchid bee.
 
"Big Bang Theory" producer Steven Molaro has yet to share the news with Parsons, but he says, "We are always extremely flattered when the science community embraces our show. Sheldon would be honoured to know that Euglossa bazinga was inspired by him."

TBBT Renewed for Season 7!

For those that didn't hear about this, The big bang theory has renewed for season 7 to air in 2013-2014.
Make sure you watch all the episodes of season 6 to follow up with season 7.

Sources say- Due to contractual obligations, the three main cast members (Parsons, Galecki, and Cuoco) will receive $350,000 per episode in the seventh season, increasing their salaries an additional $50,000 per episode from season 6.

Bob Newhart to Make Sitcom Return on The Big Bang Theory!

Yes, this news is true.

Six-time Emmy award winner Bob Newhart is going to make a grand comeback on the show "The Big Bang Theory".. 

Bob Newhart has signed on to portray professor proteon, the former host of sheldon's favorite science series from many years ago.

The new episode that is to air on May 2nd, will star Bob Newhart, where sheldon tracks down Newharts character online and finds out that he is available for parties and event.

Therefore, he invites Bob Newhart over to his house.
