Spoiler are out on the season finale of "The big bang theory". In an article posted on 23rd april, 2013, executive producer Steve Molaro shares some info that may make the fans a bit apprehensive.

Word on the street is Leonard will be torn between his current circumstances and a possible job offer overseas. Although he and Penny are going strong and their relationship has never been healthier, the job offer would be a huge step for him.

Viewers expect Penny would be upset to hear the news, but someone else may possibly be more affected by the announcement. Sheldon, it seems, is the one who takes it the hardest. He's both frightened at the prospect of losing Leonard as a roommate and jealous that Leonard received the opportunity at the same time.
As for the news about another major breakthrough - no names were given with that tidbit of information. There are several popular theories, though. One theory is that the major breakthrough will involve Howard and Bernadette who are considering an addition to the family. Sources- Examiner
